Mention the seminar to everybody you DK. Broker24 had a good suggestion that when you DK people you can say: From time to time I host seminars on investment topics; do you mind if I let you know when we’re doing the next one. (Or some such language.) I think people are more willing to say yes to that than they are to getting called on an investment idea.

Also, in your phone calls, say to people, I’m calling for two quick reasons. Reason No. 1: investment or whatever you’re doing that day.  Reason No. 2, the seminar.

Oh, call your friends and invite them to bring their moms or grandmoms. At the very least, you want to fill the room.

I have done several women’s seminars. They love them. Women just love getting together and thinking the focus is on them. Just be careful how you deliver it. It needs to be light and fun…but not condescending.

Well he has all of the answers so I figure he would close all of them on the spot!

100 invitations seems kind of low to me unless you’ve tested it and had a high response rate…

200 invitations - 100 flyers, 100 hallmark cards.  The flyers are invitations which i just placed in a standard envelope.  I sent the hallmark cards to people I felt were better prospects.

They are pre-printed greeting cards, they look pretty nice.  I don’t expect people to flood my phone with calls next week but think I can pick up some action with the calls buyandhold suggested.  I’ve already got 3 people confirmed so just 17 more to go.  I’ll post updates!

I see some embarrassment in your future. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think so.

just knock on everyone’s door the morning of the seminar and tell them the bus is waiting. 

Place an announcement in the local paper, they’ll do it for free. (Don’t forget the RSVP ).

The key is to follow up with EVERYONE who you sent an invitation to.  Your BOA can do it if you don't want to.  Write a script for her and tell her to call all of the folks on the LMGR list that she used to send out the invitation.  I just did one of those a little while ago.  What I learned is that women like to attend things in groups.  If you can get one woman to confirm, she'll more than likely bring a friend or two.
