What do you pay the help?

Just curious how much you pay your SA(s). I went independent about a year ago and am paying my SA about 45K. I also pay her health Insurance. Am I cheap or overly generous?

Depends on region, costs in the area, etc. Check Salary.com to get that data.
Then, try looking at it this way.
Is she registered?
Has she lightened your load?
Can she help you produce more revenues?
If not you are way overpaying her.
If so, way under.

$63k + 401K and benes.
She is excellent, organized, and works like a legal assistant.
