Thinking of starting RIA... Licensing Question

Thinking of starting an RIA... I currently have 7 and 66. State requires 65 or 7+66 or CFP. My understanding is that I have two years after resignation before my 7/66 expire. Do I have to abandon them and start over with the 65 or can I wait two years?
