Customizable Fee Schedule? LPL others

Jun 13, 2008 4:17 pm

One of my minor miffs here at RayJames is that I don't have the ability to create a custome fee schedule set for an account.

Ie.  one of our advisory accouns Max fees is 1.75 first 200, 1.5 next 300 and 1.00 over 500.  The only way I can change those numbers is to set an OVERALL lower max rate that is applied to all assets.  i.e. 1.00 or to do a % discount i.e 25% for all assets at all levels.

I CANNOT say I want to charge 1.50 first 200 1.25 next 300 and 1.00 next 500 and .75 over 1 mill.

They say it is a system limitation.

Do you guys at LPL and other firms have a similar problem?

_popupControl();
Nope. No problem here.  I can customize as long as I stay within the minumum/maximum parameters.
