Choosing an RIA

Hi,

I am a wirehouse FA (with modest-size book) looking to go the RIA route. I am trying to decide between TD and Schwab for the custody of assets. One consideration for me is the ability to also do Series 7/transactional business at a broker deal. So, looking for a custodian who is hybrid-friendly.

Would appreciate any and all advice. And if anyone who has made a transition to one of these firms, if you could share your experience.
