They best way to get a feel for a firm is to ask for rep names and telephone numbers to talk to. Make sure they are outside the home office.   I would also ask the question with any firm about the amount of proprietary trading accounts and the current status. This is not specifically directed at Cantella but more at the Indy firms as a whole (Raymond James, LPL, Cambridge, Harbor Financial Services, etc.)
