I forget the cost, but I didn’t get any worthwhile leads from it. I got mostly people who were just bored enough to fill out a form on the internet.  If they put there phone number and some basic criteria, and it goes to you, they charge around $40 (again, I forget the exact amount).  Also, when I wasn’t getting very many leads, they wanted me to expand my mileage radius.  I wouldn’t do it, because people will not drive an hour to meet with someone who called them because of an internet form they filled out.

  If you want a better service (I've used them both), try: http://www.paladinregistry.com/   I eventually quit using it because I kept losing to other advisors (they send the client three advisors to choose from).  I'm not a CFP, and at the time only had about 5 years experience. So, when the prospect was comparing resumes, I usually lost. If you aren't a CFP and haven't been in the business for over 10 years, I wouldn't waste my money with them either.

As a current wiser advisor ‘member’ I have received 5 ‘leads’ in 5 - 6 months. Got 2 apts, 1 NO $$, the other is still ‘thinking’ about it. The charge is $75/lead. Still calling the other 2 (one wanted an advisor based in this ski resort he lives in), the other wewnt w/ the first guy that called em. (Learned that lesson). They send a lead to 3 other guys as U. So the expected cost is really $300, and with a prob(hire) = .25, and its a $500k account, you do the math – its obviously worth it. OK I’ll do for U:  $300 < $1,250/.10 

  You do get to write a one pager w/ your pic and elevator pitch. They seem to do a decent job of web search stuff tho -- if  I type in STATE FINANCIAL PLANER I'll maybe be somewhere on the 2nd page - I know that sucks in search land.
