Where's the money?

I sorta grew up here in south Texas, but I've moved a ton and just recently came back after 4 years of college. Most people that I knew are gone or are doing absolutely nothing with their lives so my warm list is almost 0. My firm has adopted a fun new $250,000+ policy that forces you to go quality over quantity. South Texas is not known for being rich unless you lot in some people in San Antonio (which is a few hours away). I grew up poor so I never was exposed to any social clubs  or organizations for the rich. So what I'm asking "generally" where do people with $250m+ hang out? What's the best place to meet these people? I know it's a pretty local question so I'm just looking for a general answer from experiance.

That is a tough uproad hill to climb. Country clubs, business owners, baby boomers.

I could really see getting a bunch of $25,000-$100,000 accounts. I'd say about less than 1-2% of people here have over $250,000 to invest. So that's about 3500-7000 people. Getting accounts under $250m approved is hard enough. If you do manage to convice the manager to approve it you still don't get paid until it goes over $250m. They brought in that policy right after I was hired and the policy does not apply to existing accounts. 55% of accounts last year in our complex were under $250,000. I'm going to be looking at small business owners here since there are a plethora of them. Just looking for some casual ways to network.
