Warning: Stephen Anderson AKA ImediaPro, Cold Call Cowboy, The Creative Juice,

Aug 12, 2010 9:28 pm

Hi All,

Beware of Stephen W. Anderson! Before fronting large sums of money to anyone offering promotion products do a web search and BBB search!

He purports to provide "Interactive Multimedia Business Cards"  in DVD format for financial planners and real estate professionals.  Unfortunately I lost over $15,000 to him when he didn't provide the products that he promised. Then after getting all the money he tries to extort more money from saying he won't give you your the promised DVDs unless you pay him over $3,000 more!  He's got a great system to make it onerous or impossible to recoup your money, and he is clearly an expert scammer.

A few of his tricks are:

- threatening to file bankruptcy (he's done this several times already)

- falsely claiming fatal illness (he's been terminally ill for over 5 years according to web research!)

- delaying communications and thwarting progress on the project, then claiming breach of contract

- giving traveling seminars in different states to avoid any practical way of holding him legally accountable

- High pressure "It's now or never" type ultimatums - i.e. give me extra money NOW or never get any of the promised product.

It is astonishing that Stephen Anderson is not in jail, and I hope to someday see him on dateline, CNBC American Greed, etc.  He deponds on the fact that it is very difficult to chase him around across the country to take legal action.  I really hope he gets what he deserves!

CFP Dude - You are a moron. Sorry that was harsh, but seriously?

Why not create your own DVDs?  I have seven different kinds, and I believe it cost me a little time (couple of hours on the weekends) and the price of the DVDs.

He got famous because as a broker he brought in a whole bunch of assets real quick... Turns out he looted his religious connections..

Isn't that the Thrivent business model?

Sorry, did I say that out loud?  Insert your best Larry the Cable Guy impersonation here.

Can you point me to some more info/links about this?  I would like to take legal action against him since it seems that it's about time somebody did something about this guy.  I've been gathering info about him and if you know anything it might be helpful.  Thanks in advance!

I would NOT do businees with Stephen Anderson, imediapro, creative juice or any other name they be going by now. Here is a copy of a letter I sent a couple weeks ago:

August 11th, 2011

Stephen Anderson

dba iMediapro

dba The Creative Juice

dba 2nd Opinion

10 Rancho Mirage Circle

Rancho Mirage CA 92270

Really??

That is your response?

You basically said, No I will not refund your money, its your fault this took so long, I'll credit you some made up charge.

You have to have the worst customer service I've ever encountered.

You have been the biggest problem in this whole mess, not me. I gave you  all of the information you requested in the first week of this job.

You told me you could get this done in 30 days.

I sent you money via Paypal on May 6th. 95 days ago.

I faxed over your questionnaire and my bio on May 10th. 91 days ago

You told me it would take 7 to 10 days to print.

I signed off on and faxed your print authorization form on June 14th. 57 days ago.

I signed another print authorization form July 11th. 31 days ago.

I signed a third print authorization form July 12th. 30 days ago.

This is just a sampling of what I have had to deal with:

I have had to make at least 10 phone calls to see what is going on.

I have had to give you my domain information three times.

The last time you took my domain information, you took it verbally over the phone, and then ordered my print job based on that verbal information without sending me a proof first. That is sloppy.

I still have not seen a proof of my print job.

It has been two weeks since I requested the DNS information on the website you set up so that I can redirect my Domain name to your site. I still do not have that basic information.

You told me on the 21st of July (21 days ago) that the print job would be ready in 7 to 10 days, and now it is going to be 2-5 days more plus sorting and organizing.

No Stephen, you should not point blame to me. I have been more than patient. You have repeatedly either lied, misrepresented, been unaware, incompetent and/or inattentive to my order.

You should have been a man about it and stood up and said, "I am sorry, your experience is not acceptable to me either.

It is obvious to me that you do not care how your customers are served.

I will be sending a copy of this letter to LPL as well as other major broker dealers and posting it on the internet. I hope others see how you have treated me and my order and decide not to do business with you.

(UPDATE: As of this writing, Stephen Anderson still has not gotten my mailing out, and I dont know if he ever will.)

Yes, TheCreativeJuice is the new company. You need a new name every few years as you continue to burn people and bridges. Stephen W. Anderson is expert in both.

As noted above, shined brightly as a broker in the '80’s until Paine Webber kicked him out and Dean Witter took him in only to fire him shortly thereafter. His transgressions unknown but enough to get him BARRED from the securities industry. FINRA’s Broker Check bears this all out.

Bad apple of the first degree.

I also have some experience with Steve Anderson (AKA “The Cold Call Cowboy”). Many years ago I worked with him to produce financial advisor marketing materials containing cassette tapes. They actually worked, but took a great deal of time and effort to put together.

Since that time, he has seen a lot of trouble with the iMedia Pro CD’s and DVD’s and it seems that he is always coming up with new promotions in which he simply collects your money and then makes it very difficult to work with his company and then relocates or renames the business -

AND BEWARE THE LATEST SCAM WITH “CREATIVE JUICE!” I recently received several requests to connect on my LinkedIn Profile from attractive women (search for Elena Steele on LinkedIn), offering the services of Creative Juice for on-demand seminars. Pretty sure that these women are fictitious - and Mr. Anderson seems to be stooping to a new low. BUYER BEWARE.

I just received a promo email from Stephen Anderson that was pimping his Facebook ads and landing pages as well as his tax-free on demand seminars. WARNING: Stay clear of this guy. He’s a master of making your money disappear and shortchanging you on whatever you THOUGHT that you bought.

I had a great experience with Steve and both of his companies as I first purchased the cassette tapes and then later the CD program with the beautiful resin covers. Also, his marketing program was rock solid and made me a lot of money and cemented relationships with my clients and brought in new business when they received them from me. They were impressed with the products as well. I also met hundreds of other people who had purchased them and were doing well at one of the seminars and we did a tour of one of his facilities back then. In fact I even kept some of them for me for keepsakes as the quality was really top notch. His products and information took my business to the next level and I learned a lot that still helps me to this day.
