Call me blind to my industry but I had never heard of this guy until today.

How the crap did he build such an empire.

He gives out some great advice on the LPL conference calls.

20+ years of really, really hard work.  Plus good people and systems around him.  The coolest thing about his business is he built it with a b/d that is accessible by almost anyone and did it all retail.  So there really is no excuse why it can’t be replicated.

By the way - he didn’t build his business cold calling, fwiw.  Mostly professional introductions, seminars and referrals.  Referrals being the big one, I believe.  If he still offers bootcamps and turnkey CRM it is well worth a few thousand.

Yeah, his philosophy of building your business around activities you enjoy makes alot of sense.

From day one set an account minimum at one million and realized the value of adding junior advisors and giving them leads for clients and offering them a small wirehouse type payout with a salary.  As well as branding his coaching and goldmine software etc. so that he most likely equals his 10 million prodution from the coaching.  BTW this comes from several friends of mine in the business who actually have done the coaching program.  I haven’t myself.

He actually started cold calling to begin with… then switched once he had enough clients…
