If your firm's CRM is no bueno

What do some of you do when the firm's in-house CRM system doesn't work well (it's cumbersome and inefficient)? Do you have your own CRM or do you convince your in-house technology group to allow you to install a better one?

I use zoho crm , FREE and after using Act and Salesforce.com and even BGM, I like it the best...
