Ed Slott makes a positive note about index annuities in his new book. He tells an outlandish story so preposterous in nature that it must be a myth: his own mother's retirement income actually increased because she was in an index annuity.

Genius? no. Good information? yes. All the hard core information come directly from IRS publications. The nice folksy stories just help you remember the ideas. He’s worth the read.
