Who is in for 100 calls tomorrow?  Before long we're going to be in the holiday season .. time to lay the foundation for a good sprint to Dec..

I really should be - the main reason I hate cold calling is because it is inefficient. I get your meaning, now it the time to make hay.

Honestly, if you could give me a few down and dirty words for positioning GMWB, I might be down for calling a few biz owners or manangers at work, using my secret list.

Two hours per day investment? How long does it take to make 100 calls these days? How about twenty for starters?

I've not made 100 calls in a day in years but I'm half way through today. I'm guessing someone that is new can do it in 3-4 hours.  It'll take me all day though.

I'll scale back a bit the rest of the week, 40- 50.  This entire business is inefficient -  it's what makes it so tough. Go for at least 35.  What we do now we get paid on in Nov. and Dec.

Cold prospecting no matter how you do it is inefficient.  But then again, it's also inefficient to sit in my office and believe that my clients are going to send me new money.  I'm not going to pretend that I'm going to make 100 cold calls today, but I am planning on doing a lot of prospecting, the good old fashioned Jones way, in October.  A solid 5-6 weeks of doorknocking a few hours a day could very well net me enough new contacts to not have to do it for another 6 months or so.

I promise to do something, too. Not today:

1. Very nice weather, will need to golf a little later if possible.

2. Still need to do 2009 taxes (extension).  Very pissy mood about it.

3. Need to do some proactive with current clients.

4. Have to cook dinner.

5. Cold calling really sucks. I refuse to walk around the neighborhood. Guess I'll cold call some people at work in October. Still a week to procrasinate. I want some new clients.

Seriously, I know the $$ won't jump in the boat. I promise to do some cold marketing in the next few weeks.

Jump, I would like to hear your results during the week, I hope it is inspirational.
