Building Self-Directed Customers

Jun 1, 2007 1:08 am

Hi I'm new to the forum, but would like tap the collective wisdom here, if I may...

For those who serve self-directed or institutional accounts, what have you found to be your best practice to build business?

Recently moved from managed money to the clearing world and I would greatly appreciate all input.

Hmm. 38 views, no replies. You guys don't sell institutional clearing?

Anyone?

If you want to be an order taker, why don’t you run a register at McDonald’s?

She continued, " One happy thing I noticed, though. When Bobby wakes up and smokes a couple of bongs, his attitude about his … er … diminished unit - changes. The kind of attention it gets becomes positive, kind of like how he smiles while he is writing on the computer - but somehow nicer. "

Huh. Bobby Hull.

Yeah, I've seen your posts around here - you're a grade A jerk, congratulations. Timestamped all hours of the day and night too, spewing your snide remarks for sick entertainment. Anyone who has that kind of time to post utter crap isn't pulling in any real business.

Here's a gem: you're still a teen reject roaming the web, lying to make friends, in order to make up for your pitiful lack of self-esteem. But hey, that's obvious from your comments - you're the kinda guy who's probably ruined at least three marriages and now you're just a bitter old fart at the end of his life who has to resort to child prostitutes in the 3rd world to drop a load. If your clients saw what kind of person you really are - you'd be the one working MickeyDees. It's sad, really.

Besides, your insult is unimaginative. A schoolboy could do better. Real gift to society, aren't you Bobby? Bravo.

Anybody else care to offset this clown?

Stong referral sources from copmanices that trade a system, teach, but ultimately the investor needs a sounding board when implementing the system.  That is where you come in.  This is more of a transactional approach.

bxpress thanks for the comment!

Anybody have any luck getting CTAs and smaller hedge funds from say, CPA referrals? It's tough to dislodge those folks...

CTA’s are a curious lot.  They love where they are and don’t like to change.  What firm are you with China?
