Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (New Gordon Gekko Movie)
Their is going to be a sequel to the classic movie Wall Street made in 1987. Who can forget that quote from the original movie:
"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the U.S.A"
It will be interesting to see what mister Gekko has to say about the current economic times and what his role was in the debacle.
Hope the new movie is just as good as the original one. It is suppose to come out September 24, 2010.
I suspect since the director is a Democrat of the leftist of the party, it will be insincere to "stick it to the man" so to speak. Since those who carried those banners 35-40 years ago are now making the policies we seem to be living by in Washington, it may be a stretch. Just my 2 cents.
Released in October, DVD before Thanksgiving.
Michael Douglas gave justice to his role in the latest movie "Wall Street". I didn't know that it is a sequel of an old movie. The movie is good but I somewhat predicted the ending. I'll give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. :)
