Massachussetts Election

Jan 20, 2010 2:13 am

Anyone else following this?  I love the fact that this c0cky c**tbag is getting beat and will have her political career end so embarrasingly.  Sending in Obama to do her dirty work once things started looking bad?  You can't send a president that has seen his approval rating plummet as much as it has to salvage an election.  The liberal commies are going to be up in arms over this!  Can't wait to see Barney Frank's fruity a$$ crying tomorrow.

I couldn't have cared less about her until she went on a radio show and someone brought up Curt Schilling to her, and she says "Another Yankees fan."  Once she was corrected she says "Ok I was wrong.  Well he's not around anymore."  Don't you know your demographics?  Are you gonna get into the MA senate race after being attorney general there and you really don't know who the states biggest hero this decade is?  And then throw out a smart-ass remark once you've been called out?  A candidate for the people alright.  $lut.

Doesn’t matter…The Socks still SUCK!!!

Although, it's good to have a balance of power back again...in the end, that's better for everyone.
Jan 20, 2010 4:11 am

 - If the Dems just stood around and did nothing they would have had 2 Obama terms to pass everything they ever wished for. The market was going to rebound regardless and they couldve taken credit for all of it. But no, they have tried shoving sh*t down everyones throat in 1 year and now he is 1 and done. The Mass election is just the beginning.

I’m glad Scott Brown won.  But he will be a typical Washington politician in short order.

Not sure about Obama being out - they said that about Bush in '04.  If he doesn’t start listening to the people, then he will be out.  This victory by Scott Brown should be a wake up call that you can’t be partisan and that you have to keep your promises.

Jan 20, 2010 5:39 am

I guess those sons and daughters of the revolution have some cojones after all. I was begining to wonder. Next trip to Boston will seem more like good old fashioned a Tea Party.

Makes me want to go there and spend some money and be a good tourist again.

We'll see if Obama comes to his senses. Big surprise that he is not his own man - given how moralistic he was during the election (lecturing us about racism and such).   Then he lets Pelosi and Reid run over him. Barney Frank is disgusting. Total capitulation. Sellout to the unions and big  business. I don't see where he goes from here. How do you change your own weak character?
Jan 20, 2010 12:20 pm

Red Sox fans are dumb.

Jan 20, 2010 1:25 pm

Although a wake up call for the Democrats, this is actually a liability for the Republicans. Before this, Republicans could just oppose anything all willy nilly. Now they will need to be held more accountable for their ideas and votes. They will need to come to the table and be held accountable for their ideas.

Politics is such a game…but I would still rather watch CNN than watch a Red Sox game

(except when the Yankees are kicking their A$$).

Coakley’s statement about Shilling, is probably the only reason I would vote for her. I mean really, who cares about the Sox? They all wish they could be Yankees anyway…

I don’t know, this is something I heard… the YANKEES SUCK!

Jan 20, 2010 1:57 pm

As a lifelong MA resident (masshole), I never thought I would see the day we would elect a republican senator.  Holy smokes!  Talk about sending a message…Brown ran his entire campaign on destroying the current health care bill.  People clearly voted him in to have that bill axed!

Don't hate the Sox, they have won 2 rings in the last 5 years.
Jan 20, 2010 2:23 pm

ml,

I disagree about Brown,  He's very conservative and ran his campaign that way. Anti abortion, no taxes, against healthcare bill...etc.   And yes, your Yanks were the best last year..   But, I'll take a decade of dominance that includes 3 super bowls, 2 world series, and 1 NBA championship, and 1 Republican Senator.

His other daughter (blonde) is hotter.

Jan 20, 2010 3:06 pm

The brunette is freakier though.

I was so focused on her I almost missed the horrible tie with the grey suit.

Oh yeah? Which LOSING team do you like!!!

Jan 20, 2010 5:45 pm

Would it be the Celtics?  The Red Sox?  The Patriots?  Which team didn’t win it all in the past 10 years?  Which other city can boast that?  Just curious.  Put Boston sports teams overall W-L record up against the majors in any other city, and we’ll see.

Jets, Giants, Knicks, Nets, Mets....shall I go on?    Do the Bills count?   I forgot, you did have Joe Namath.  Did he play before or after Yogi Berra?

Jay Z - made a yankee cap more famous than a yankee can…

Optimism: Those MA residents are a bunch of freaking liberals. Wait a minute, MA is a red state! Bunch of fighting baseball fans and hockey guys. Ma - reclaims its role as revolutionary. Hope for America.

What are you going to do with that little tweaker, Barney Frank? He still doesn't respect those " little red states out west."

Very true.  Not to bring up a sore subject again, but even gay men should be able to play pro ball.  I admire Jeter for carrying that torch.

Again with the pic I can’t see at the office.  I’m going to have to get an iPhone specifically for the non-Jonesified internet access.

Don’t worry Spiff, it’s better that you didn’t see it. If you did you would have to go ask for forgiveness, after all lust is one of the big 7.
