Definition of Terrorism

Feb 20, 2010 3:20 am

The United States Code defines terrorism as “premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against
noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents”.  So this dude that flew the plane into the IRS building did all of the above and this is not a “terrorist attack”? If everything was the same but the guy looked like me, it would have been called a terrorist attack and people would be calling for mass deportation and killing of all Muslims.

And on top of that, how are some people calling him a hero? Now, I hate paying taxes as much as the next guy but a fcuking hero? Are you kidding me? That’s just plain sick.

Although I somewhat agree; it seems that this guy really belonged in a mental hospital. And the fact he burned down his own house first, strengthens that point.

What are you talking about? After 9-11 nobody called for mass deportation and killing of all Muslims. You sound bitter about something.

Not saying he wasn’t a nutjob but if all of the facts were the same but a guy who looked like me, TERRORISM would be all over the headlines and we’d be still talking about it.

Aren’t all of these guys nutjobs? They all think God speaks through them and what they’re doing is right.  Seems like they belong in mental hospitals too.

The Austin Airplane Guy = Mentally Unstable

The Fort Hood Shooter = Terrorist

Dude, this guy acted on his own free will.  He was pissed at the IRS so he lashed out.  Al Qaeda and the muslims that attack us are not acting on their own free will.  They are controlled by terrorist orgs and brainwashed to see that the U.S. as a whole is evil and that if they do their part then they will be given spiritual cleansing when they die.  How do you not see the difference?

The guy crashing his airplane was a terrorist.  Plain and simple.  He is not hero.  He is a joke.

… mmm. “by subnational groups or clandestine agents.” Which to me reads that “lone-wolf” attackers are not by definition terrorists. You would need to be a clandestine agent of something to be a terrorist.

Example: Johnny Nobrains of Backfck, MT has been reading entirely too many Mein Kampf excerpts, spending too much time on Nazi web sites, blogs incessantly on RegRep page about Shania Twain, has several pamphlets strewn about the house from the local secessionist groups. One day takes it upon himself to walk into the courthouse and shoot a black judge. He's working as a clandestine agent, although in actuality not even at the behest or request of any group.   His cousin gets pissed off at the IRS because he can't claim the illegitimate son he fathered with his sister as a deduction. Drives his truck into the backdoor entrance of the local IRS office, cause that's the way he liked doing it with Sis. Not a terrorist; just stupid.   Austin pilot's just a fool, part of the approximately 750,000 people in America I figure are a direct threat to everyone around them (a truly scary thought). Timothy McViegh was a terrorist.

Seriously, if they were really such good skaters; why don't they play hockey?
Some things in life I guess I will never understand?
