The BMW Rule

May 4, 2010 5:24 pm

There should be a rule that if you drive a car with the blue and white propeller emblem you should at the least have the ability to drive it. Over the past week i've encountered several drivers giving the brand a bad name. I propose that BMW institute a requirement that unless you can post an above average time at the local SCCA autocross course you can't buy the car. And, if you have to ask what "Hammer lane" is, off to the Volvo dealership with you! You can't call your product the ultimate driving machine if  you are going to sell it to pokes who only buy it because of the cup holders.

Agreed.  In addition, if you take a perfectly clean, solid early 3 series and slam it, slap some 20's on it, put in 2500 watts of aural abuse and a subwoofer the size of Obama's outrage when he's actually rained upon while giving an outdoor spin event in N.O., then your scrawny banger wannabe butt should be forced to write 100 times in front of the entire class, "I apologize to all the Bavarians, two, three, fourwheeled and winged, and hereby promise to restrict my automotive performance art to Caprice Classics only."

Beemer, well said.

Slammed BMW's, an affront to the brand!

Cut'em to race'em or autocross them but don't turn them into Radio Flyer's with chrome wheels.

My stomach churns at the thought.
