OSJ wants $$ to release me
My OSJ wants me to write a nice sized check in order to release me to establish my own branch. My BD refuses to get involved and says that it is between the OSJ and myself. I want to get away from him for several reasons and it seems as though I am handcuffed. My production is well above average for my firm and my U4 is spotless. Suggestions?

Who will be sponsoring your branch? I am confused that you cannot just resign, you need to document every conversation you have with them.If you leave and your clients follow you that is the OSJ’s problem not yours. Did you sign a contract.have a sign on bonus( maybe this is a clawback provision?)
