Who will be dems 2012 nominee?

Someone may run against him in the primaries if things continue to go poorly for him, but he will probably be the nominee.

Hillary. It will look noble and unplanned, but you can be sure the Clintons are busy lining it up even as we speculate.

It will be a real fight in 2012, and much as I dislike the Clintons, Hillary would be an improvement over the status quo.

I agree that she could challenge him especially since he basically stole the primary from her anyway by stacking in people from other states in the caucus states.  BTW the caucus should go the way of the looney bird!!

The only thing I liked about Obama was that he was a new face.  We've had 20+ years of the Clinton's and the Bush's.  I'm not ready to go back to that. 

I think Hillary is an obvious choice for the dems, but I'm not sure she can beat anyone on the GOP side.  I think the same thing about Sarah Palin.  Popular choice, but not a winning ticket.

on the GOP side I would say Chris Christie/Mitch Daniels would be good choices.  If they want to pull an Obama, they could go for Marco Rubio since he will have 2 years in the senate and is a charismatic minority.  The formula seemed to work.

I think Obama wins unless he runs against Romney... for the same reason Clinton did in his second election.. The GOP took the position this election that "vote out the democrats and vote us in and we will get things done" which is the same slogan they used against the democrats at the same point in Clinton's first term. However nothing got done and the the republicans kept on blaming and Clinton got reelected.

I think unless the republicans make major strides(not even sure what that would be now) and run a "somebody" that people are familiar with and doesn't isolate moderates (Romney fits that bill, Huckabee doesn't) then Obama wins again..

Christie won't run. Appartently repub tough love budget wags haven't gotten the news that Christie's ARC tunnel stunt will cost NJ 271 million. That's the bill from Uncle Sam, recieved in Trenton yesterday, due in 30 days.

I agree the Xanadu tunnel had to go. But there is a cost to high stakes buffoonery. When Uncle said if you cancel you get stuck with the bill for sunk costs. Christie said 'Eat me!" The tunnel had to go. maybe a more diplimatic way of doing it, and NJ tax payers wouldn't have gotten screwed.

That's two high profile eff ups within six months. First was Christie's insistance that an application for federal education funds be rewritten. This for no other reason than he objected to some language regarding the teachers he hates. During the rewrite some low level functionary screwed up the dates for the data shown. A simple enough mistake to correct if someone had caught it. No one did. Poof!!!! There goes $400,000,000 in fed education funds. No do overs allowed. The state's education commissioner and Christie started pointing fingers at each other. The commissioner lost his job, but at least the truth was known. There was no reason to re-write the app. The fiasco offered rare insight into Chrisites's ego.

That 700 million lost to a leader who shoots first and then aims.

On Obama, two years is a long time. Both Reagan and Clinton came back from the walking dead to win second terms. The repubs, in winning the mid terms will now have to deliver. Much can and will change.

Agree, the repubs have got no one on the bench. As for Palin, really insightful comments on the North Koreans. Who knew?

After the Wikileaks, I don't think Hillary is going anywhere...

Obama will get the support of the Dem party in a re election bid, no question about it. Heck, they let Mrs Pop Eyes continue as the speaker of the house for the Dems, albeit in a minority role. If they didn't throw Pop Eye Pelosi under the bus, they sure ain't tossn Obama aside neither.  

Wikileaks just makes Hillary look real. I'm not a Clinton fan, but I would consider her over Palin.

It looks like both Clintons have been drinking a lot of good scotch.

Also, wikileaks puts a ton of pressure on some key "allies". If anything, the verification of so many known truths makes Obama look weak and Clintons strong. What a coincidence.

For cryin out loud. The Bush Admin took serious grief over that idiot Plame. Here, you essentially just had a doc dump unrivaled in history, with an administration that STILL doesn't know what to do about it. The language used by the Obama admin in describing foreign leaders is straight out of Junior High School. So much for improving world relations, no the US foreign policy now is just about as bad as under Carter.  Not that I'm surprised...

The Clintons make the Obama folks look like honest folk. The Clintons were surrounded by hundreds of former associates, and wow, that all seemed to mysteriously die... Neither Bush or Obama has nearly the cadaver conundrums the Clintons have.

Let's make a deal ya'll. No more Clintons, and no more Bush family in the Presidential office. Enough already...

We need real leaders who are for the people.

American people fear the future of our country, so we handed our powers to the government to protect us.  This power should SOLELY be in place to protect the rights of our citizens.  Any governing body that uses this power to intimidate, lie, and oppress individuals in order to push government agenda is unworthy, malefic, and devilish.

The government should exist to SERVE THE PEOPLE.  Their job is to keep us safe, keep peace with neighboring nations, and keep our economy stable..and that should basically be it.  And what do we have? a military driven country that serves special interest?  Why is our government racking up trillions in debt? 

The government has many ways of creating revenue from us, so is it a business? does the government have the right to be raising debt on this level?  Also why so much secrecy behind our backs and police us heavily for years that it became the norm?

I still believe the government is supposed to be a vehicle for justice, and fairness amongst its citizens.  If I count my taxes, it's out of control, greater than 50%.  Income tax, local tax, state tax, property tax, sales tax, fuel tax, medical tax, etc.  At the same they are racking up debt like piles of pancake at ihop using our tax dollars for special interest and war...which is completely unncessary.

Worse than all this, they manipulate us what to eat, drink, smoke or don't smoke.  And now they manipulate us how to think!  They back corrupt corporate big shots, when these big shots can't even run a fiscal balance properly.

They expect us to run a perfect balance sheet..business and personal.  And if you hiccup you will be penalized by the banks and government, at the same time feeding more than 50% of your income to the big brother..also another huge huge chunk when you are 6 feet under.  All the while, they can't keep a balance sheet, and by their rules you'll lose your freedom if you ran your finance like the big brother runs a multi trillion dollar budget.

"money is the root of evil" is so damn right.  It's ALL ABOUT MONEY!!  Look at what's going on in the world and you'll have the truth.  The big brother blows millions for photoshots at the airports,meetings. They blow millions on useless government project that achieves absolutely nothing, and flying around all over the world while the entire world laughs at us.  They go on fancy dinners with powerful people, and they want US to pay for it and if we don't they'll come into my house with guns and force me to?  Take away my house, throw my family on the streets and throw me in jail if I don't?

Does this sound like what gangsters do?

Not to be nitpicky, but the verse is actually "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil."  Your point remains the same, but the problem isn't money.  It's the love of money, the power money holds over people that is the root of all evil.  Money is a great tool.  But when you start to worship the almighty dollar instead of the Almighty, then there are going to be issues.  That's where we find ourselves in this country.  The "people" said we don't want God in our schools, our businesses, our government, our holidays (a derivative of holy days, BTW), our vacations, or our lives.  God said, OK.  Here we are.
