What the..........?

In the past three days I've had two clients call regarding letters they received from government offices....one from the IRS, the second from Social Security. It would seem that their former brokerage mis-reported income from 1998. Both were from the same brokerage, and in fact, the same office. One of these people had an almost $86,000 error!
Is anyone else seeing anything like this?
