Using the CFP abroad

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone on here has ever used their CFP designation in another country. I am interested in moving to India (CFP is recognized in India and several other countries in Asia), and was thinking of some of the pro's/con's. I want to work abroad and live for about 5 years in each country that I move to (not exactly the best way to build a local business...). Has anyone ever done this? Would a CFA open up more international doors?
