I would advise the series 24 to eat all of it's meat, or it can't have any pudding.
How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat?
Dirk do you smoke daily? I thought my posts were out there at times…
Read the book ONCE. Spend at least 70% of your efforts on the test bank and focus on problem areas. Review the book only for clarification purposes in trouble ares.
It's not as hard as people make it seem. I got an 80 and Joedabookworm got an 86.

This is what happens when you DON'T smoke daily.
It’s been a while since I passed it. Its much easier then the 9 & 10 (or the 8 when I took it). I find getting a book of sample test questions to be VERY helpful.
what license is needed to be a branch manager over reps? 24 or 9 & 10? How hard are they?
Guys, thanks for the info regarding the test and smoking. I’m currently cross training with a testbank of questions and a big a$$ hookah pipe.
The 9 is mostly options, fairly easy. The 10 is mostly regulations, trying to remember rule 144 vs rule 144a was VERY difficult for me. Its been several years since I passed it so I don’t know if it has gotten easier or harder. To supervise, I thought you needed 9,10 & 24.

wrong-LPL and many other indys require merely a 24. 24 is, by the way, a general securities principal license which has a much more comprehensive scope than the 9/10.
most wirehouses(and RayJay) require the 9/10 instead, which is essentially a branch manager's license.
Joe, just to be clear, RJFS (indy side of RayJay) takes either the 24 or 9/10. And I view the 9/10 as more comprehensive than the 24 in that the 9/10 also includes supervision over muni activities and options. If you only have a 24 you also need to get the 53 to supervise munis in your OSJ.

True, but then again the 9/10 does not include the ability to supervise investment banking and I also think that it does not include the ability to approve written communications.....
Either way these are all just fine distinctions....
