Bonds' ball will get considerably more than $500,000.  That may be the price of A-Rod's 500th.

If the guy is smart, he’ll sell it right away.  This one won’t be worth nearly as much as the last one Bonds hits that sets the new record.  Either way, not bad for a kid from Queens who happened to go to the game at the last minute.  Bonds’ record won’t stand for long…barring injury to A-Rod of course.

I happened to have the game on and saw the shot.  Poor Hank Aaron looked like he was about to vomit in his taped video message to Steroid Barry.

The whole thing makes me puke.  If baseball has any integrity at all, Roger Maris' 61 and Hank Aaron's 755 should be reinstated.  If you think McGuire, Sosa, Bonds, Sheffield et al didn't cheat, you're seriously naive.  If these jokers go in the Hall, Pete Rose belongs there too...at least he wasn't all juiced up on steroids.

The problem is that baseball doesn't have integrity.  Baseball knew about the steroid abuse and chose to ignore it. 

Bonds deserves to be in the Hall.  He was the best before the juice and then he was the best of the "juice era".  It's just that his numbers don't have meaning.

I agree, Pete Rose would belong there too.  When I went to visit Cooperstown, it was great to see that Rose built his own hall of fame right next door.

Although the guys you mentioned above most likely were on roids, what about the other countless players who took them but didn't break records?  I think more players were on steroids than most people think.  It's an MLB problem. 

In my opinion, the biggest indication of the steroid madness of a couple years ago was when Brady Anderson of the Orioles hit something like 8 or 9 HR's one year. The next year he crushed about 50... EVERYONE was juiced up...

But everyone has to admit that the summer that Sosa and McGwire were going at Maris were exciting times...

They should all be on roids and MLB should encourage their use. 

Just think you have some behemonth stepping into the box with arms pumping, chest heaving, and sawdust production form his grip on the bat.  Then the roid enhanced gunslinger can fire a 112 mile an hour fastball to the plate.  Really great product.

And don't forget about the new fighting rule that will have to be implemented due to doid rage.  MMA style tapouts before ump interference. 

This could actually save the sport!
