Private Banker VS. Financial Consultant
Does anyone know the difference between the two? I was doing alittle
research online and it seems like they pretty much do the same thing.
The difference I noticed was the Private Bankers are given a salary +
commissions whereas a FA is strickly on commissions only. Wouldn’t one
want to be a PB instead of a FA since you get a salary + commission?
Anyone want to chime in?
the pb dealers with high net worth clients - usually 1million on up and
is not in a branch, a fa usually works in the bank branch
Greetings All !
my First visit to your fine Forum and, i'd Like to Jump Right In on This one !
There are Many diferances to the Two, Depending on Whom you're Speaking with. My vast experiance As a Priveta Banker (private party ) Using Funds which are the Property Of Associates and such to Engage in Transactions, is Much More desirable than Being a Consultant, with Limited Control and such !
Not that there's anything Wrong with Either, they Both have Ups n Downs, Depending on what the Particulares Of a Transaction Are !
Examples:
Private Bankers can Bridge many Hurddles inherant in Finance, where As the Consultant has No real Control, Other than to Make the Details Known to Each Party to a transaction and let Others Deside what's Next !
Being my First Post, i Believe i should keep this short !
i Hope it's not too Late ! ( hah-hah )
Best Wishes to you All !
Ask yourself how many millionaires know who “you” are. If the answer is
none, then go to the private bank. There you’ll get exposure and a salary
while you cut your teeth.

Can you please respond in English. I can’t follow your logic.
Sorry if English is a second language for you.
<span =“bold”>SanteeClause, thanks for your comments. If you don’t
mind my asking, what are your experiences as a private banker (pros and
cons), and as always, what is the typical compensation for someone in
the business say,1-5, 5-10, 10+ years. I’m currently on the FC side
with BofA and there was an opening in their PB division. Any response
would be greatly appreciated!
SanteeClause,
You are full of sh*t!! You do not know what you are talking about
<span =“bold”>SanteeClause, I don’t know what you are talking about.
Can this loon be banned, or at least sent back to the North Pole?
mr clause
wow!! what are you smoking?
what a freak…what’s up with the random capitalization of words and the terrible misspellings???
I had the curiousity to look at his profile. There you can see the firm that he
is affiliated with.
where do they come from???
After looking at your website, I'll make two wagers, SC...1-You wrote the intro page yourself and 2-You're a 2-bit con artist. The only time a website has that much meaningless garbage is when the creator is trying to hide something.
SC, I've been a banker...and you're no banker.

I agree....What kind of company are they? Did some intern develop that site. It made no sense at all.
So, are Private Bankers salaried + commissioned? Thx.
