Open Letter to the Admin

To the Admin.

This board has become a joke. And it is because you are not doing your job. There are countless idiots on this board who are taking it down big time. People like meletio, then meleTIO, howboutshoeshine, now double dip, and countless others, most of who are probably the same people who keep coming on here with new names. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A WAY FOR YOU TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.   Everyone has a right to a market opinion. And everyone has a right to post that opinion on these boards. But these jackasses come on here and spew their crap while personally attacking anyone who disagrees. More important, they talk about how all advisors are thieves ripping off their clients.   HOT FLASH: We, the advisors, are your constituents! We are the ones your advertisers want to reach. GET THESE JACKASSES OFF THE BOARDS. They are a waste of time of the advisors who come here for the original purpose that this forum was intended.   A while ago you talked about software that can ban IP addresses. What happened?   This board used to be a useful resource. It is now a complete farce. The only value is entertainment value, and this type of entertainment gets boring real quick. So you need to find a way to restore it to what it was, otherwise your advertisers will eventually realize that the only ones left on here are a bunch of losers that they really don't want to recruit.   A little sparring back and forth is fine, and a little entertainment is fine, but you have sat by while things here have gone out of control.   I have cut my posts down 90%. And i know many other useful posters have as well. You are losing your constituency. Do you give a rats ass? If so, do something about it.

I agree 100%.  This board is for REGISTERED REPS period.  Yahoo Finance and MSN Money have boards for individual investors to discuss their investing strategies.

I don’t understand how Bobby/Hank gets banned when he’s IN THE BUSINESS but other people who have nothing to do with this industry get to run around spewing garbage.

Who are your advertisers?  Edward Jones has a banner on top right now.  I’ve seen them for Wells Fargo Advisors, Powershares, Raymond James in the 5mins I’ve been here today.  Hmmmmmmmmmm… I don’t think ANY of those companies would be paying to advertise on the Yahoo Finance/ MSN Money Boards.  Perhaps because they’re targeting FINANCIAL ADVISORS.  When you have no more financial advisors coming to this site and it’s all individual do-it-yourselfers maybe you can get some Vanguard and Fidelity ads in here.  I’m guessing they don’t pay as well though as brokerage firms.

we have a “monitor?”  this board became a semi-joke some time ago.  i agree with you-we need alot of the driven and mom/wife crap removed before it even gets posted.  not sure how they plan on addressing this.  it is obviously not a big deal to them atm.

I have actually sent a couple of PMs to the admin over the last month. They haven’t even been opened. I believe the ship has been abandoned.

Who cares? Let the trolls hang out. When we didn’t have trolls, people were b!tching that it was too boring. Now that we have trolls, people are b!tching that they are here.

Hell, it’s finally interesting again.

Let the good times Troll!!

I would prefer to read a one liner from a troll then some 1000 word mindless ramble that is posted from time to time. Actually I am probably guilty of that one.   How about limiting newer members to a certain number of posts or words per post or something. And maybe requiring someone to be a member for a certain amount of time before they can post. That would give them time to find the search function.   Although Melitio is unusual to say the least he does kinda balance out Spiff's long boring ass posts soaked with Kool-Aid

Are there any other forums for advisors?
