New account photo ID BEFORE
our b/d has said that for all a/c's , including USA a/c's, we now need a xerox copy of a government ID (driver's licence, passport) BEFORE opening the a/c. Are other firms doing this?

We have to get license #'s (including issue and exp date). Might as well get a photo copy...

And never mind if it is a "real" license or a forgery for an illegal alien. There is no way to check and we aren't going to check.
