Not sure, but most (there are exceptions) are so schittie, you might as well have clients cash them and start with better funds at your new firm…

I seem to recall that MS funds will not transfer out in kind- you have to do a Non-ACAT… Like posted above, its probably a good thing since the majority of those funds fall in the lower rankings from Lipper, Morningstar, etc.

Most all MS funds WILL ACAT out. There are a few exceptions. The best thing to do is look at the system you’re thinking of moving to, give them the symbols of the funds involved, and ask if they can hold them. If they can’t you’ll have to liquidate.

Absolutely correct... I know some guys who jumped from MS to SB.  I think that once the transfer is done though, you can ONLY sell.  I don't think you can add to those positions or exchage them.  I would suggest finding the MS funds that you like and exchange into them before the transfer.
