Thank you for the correction.  I noticed that a little too late.

Hope they put the bastard in jail. He’s needlessly ruined countless careers for his own personal aggrandizement.

1% of me is feeling guilt at enjoying the bad fortune of someone else.

The other 99% of me is trying to decide if I want to do a happy dance or just sit here at my desk with a big grin and feel like there is in fact some justice in the world, even for a former attorney general who can generally work/buy off the system.   Karma's a b*tch.

From here on out, we should only refer to the sanctamonious son of a bitch as Client 9

To start a healthy debate…How does this compare with our beloved Bill Clinton…nothing happened to him and he was LESS than honest about it?

In my opinion at least Spitzer hasn’t LIED about it.

True, however Bill clinton didn't pay any money for the sexual act, which Mr. spitinherear.... I mean client no. 9.......... I mean dirty bastard.... I mean spitzer did.   I think both should go/have gone to jail.   These people of power need to be held to a extremely high standard and pay a very high price when they lie, cheat, steal,..... get screwed by a prostitute... or break the law in any other way.

You have to admit, though, it was a little sad watching his wife stand there by his side.  I feel bad for her and the 3 kids.  That is something they can never get over, because it was a PROSTITUTE.  How can that possibly make you feel about your husband or father?  If it weren’t for the family, I would be smiling from ear to ear.

Somehow, I didn't feel quite as bad for Hillary.  Not sure the difference, I just didn't.

As a proud heterosapien, I think doin' Hillary would be like having gay sex.     (Note: Everyone reading this is a homosapien, but not everyone reading this is a heterosexual. Therefore, I'm more comfortable with the term heterosapien, personally.)   Just sayin'...

There’s a huge difference between prostitution and having an affair. For one, one is legal the other is not.

I know some of these people personally and wish they'd get hung out to dry. It kills me when their business is successful nevertheless and they advertise all the community work and charity they do to "drive the community" to their naive clients. I even threw up in a public stall because of it.

all that money, all that influence, Client 9 couldn’t get action with buying someone a drink and banging then? i personally don’t care about anyone’s sexual activities. in our business we see this all he time. it doesn’t even bother me that these people do god business. what bothers me about Client 9 is that the sob was always so pompous. f’ him he deserves the public shame. it is one thing to do your job it is another to try to embarass people all the time if you catch them doing something wring. boy, to be a fly on the wall in Client 9’s house the last few days would be PRICELESS.

Big difference is one did a 'bad' thing by cheating; the other did an illegal act. Personally, I dont see why being a prostitute is illegal but it is. I think that if a women wants to sell her body for sex she should be able too. I would NEVER do it but that is a women's choice.   ** The reason he didn't lie is they already had a case built on him. He will resign but I am sure it  will be  only after he works with the officials and gets the madam turned over in lieu of conviction. When he was the Attorney General he pissed a lot of people off. I bet this was a set-up and he simply took the bait. Shame on him.. I hope his wife leaves him.. 3 Kids or not.. She needs to have some self respect.   Miss J

Client 9:  Sanctimonious holier than thou SOB who ran on stopping abuses of power and corruption caught with a prostitute.  His career was based on being perceived MORE moral than everyone else around him.

Bill Clinton:  Ran on a platform that comprised many things, NONE of them even hinting that he was above enjoying the trappings of power.  His career flourished IN SPITE OF out of being perceived as LESS moral than everyone else around him.   In other words, when Client 9 was caught, everyone was shocked.  When Clinton was caught, no one was surprised.  Most Bill Clinton voters knew what he was when they voted for him.  Anyone who acted surprised was either naive or just playing politics.

I don't want panzy leaders. I'm not condoning it, or saying in any way that it's right. Using history as a guide, Kennedy, Roosevelt, Churchill all good leaders and all cheatin lyin scumballs in the fidelity department. Yet, even though they had challanges in their personal lives they, and many like them,  accomplished great things.   For me, fidelity is an integrity issue. But not a make or break issue. I give a lot of rope for not being in that person's shoes and not judging them for human falacy.   As for Spitzer, no question he had to go. He ran over a lot of people's rights to build his career.   My question: Who are clients one through eight?

Amen, B24.

How could any man who calls himself a man humiliate the woman that he loves simply for political reasons? How could any man, let alone one who’s subject to public scrutiny, fool around like that in the first place? There seems to be no dearth of depravity among the powers-that-be. At long last, is there no sense of decency in the people chosen to be leaders in our country?

Amid Charges of Spitzer Tryst, Embattled Prostitute "Kristen" Expected to Resign

New York - At a hastily scheduled morning press conference at the headquarters of New York's exclusive Emperors Club prostitution ring, high priced call girl "Kristen" announced that she would  temporarily step aside in the wake of charges that she had engaged in sex with New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.

"I made a serious mistake and betrayed the trust of my co-workers, my many clients, and my pimps," she said in a quiet voice cracking with emotion. "I will be taking a leave of absence to earn their forgiveness, and redeem myself in the eyes of the entire expensive whore community."

The embattled prostitute did not mention Spitzer by name, and stopped short of offering an official resignation. But longtime sex industry insiders say that it will be difficult for Kristen to return to her post in light of mounting federal wiretap evidence that she had sexually serviced the Governor on at least two occasions.

"It will be hard for her to spin her way out of this," said Destinee Rizzo, editor of the trade journal Executive Concubine."After taking on clients like that, her days as a five diamond, high-roller suite call girl are over. Frankly, with all the press coverage she'll be lucky to get a job as a $5 truck stop lot lizard in Kentucky."

"The big problem now is to keep this incident from threatening the whole expensive whore industry," added Rizzo.

The revelation brought an immediate and angry reaction from Greymont Preston IV, spokesman for the powerful consumer watchdog group Profligate Wastrels United. "For that kind of money, there's an expectation that these girls have been with Snoop Dogg or Charlie Sheen," said Preston. "But please -- Eliot Spitzer?  When our members are spending five thousand dollars to snort cocaine off an ass, they want to know that ass has some standards."

Preston said his organization would push for new industry guidelines, including a "black box" john tracking system, but stopped short of calling for government regulation.

"Unfortunately, that would involve meeting with members of Congress, and many of our member don't want to risk having the photos become public," said Preston.

Lafester "Sly" Williams, president of the Big Dollar Pimp Association, said his group would comply with greater oversight and control systems.

"We want to assure the expensive whore buying public -- whether they are drug dealers, washed out big league ball players, or compulsive gamblers on a temporary hot streak -- that when they purchase one of our products, that fine bitch will now be DNA tested and certified 100% free of contaminants from politicians or journalists," said Williams.

Despite the new assurances, Rizzo says it may take years for the whore industry's luxury segment to recover from the incident.

"The saddest thing is what it done to the youngsters, those starry-eyed 17 and 18 year old boys out there who dream someday of blowing thirty or forty thousand dollars on a hotel room full of beautiful, high end hookers," said Rizzo. "Sure, only a few ever achieve it, but that boyhood dream has always been universal. After the Spitzer incident, thought, I'm just not sure whether that's true anymore."

As to underscore that concern, as Kristen walked toward the exit of the press conference to her waiting 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV, she was approached by a teenage boy, a forlorn questioning in his eyes.

"Say it ain't so, Kristen," he begged. "Say it ain't so!"
