Europe vs. U.S. Actions

What are your guys’ perspectives on how the U.S. is handling this financial crisis versus how Europe is handling it?

To me, it seemed at first the U.S. was acting quickly and leading the way and Europe couldn't get on the same page.  But from what I have seen, the U.S. has laid out a plan, then went in a different direction, kind of like being very flexible because they don't know what exactly to do.   Meanwhile, the European countries have seemed to embrace the injection of capital into their banks, which the U.S. has begun to follow.   So from the European perspective, it feels they are waiting for the U.S. to get on board with them, not the other way around.   Anyone have any opinions or knowledge on this stuff?
