Dem's Good For Insurance Products?

Nov 20, 2006 1:06 am

With the Dem's possessing slim majorities in both Houses, there has been a lot of talk about eliminating tax cuts and even raising some taxes. Although I don't believe there's going to be anything but gridlock between the President and Congress, for the next 2 years, it might bear speculating that the Dem's are good for tax-deferred investment products, i.e., insurance products.

Any other thoughts out there?

The Dems are good for nothing.

The estate tax break is due to sunset and after 2010 is most likely to be reverted to the old uniform credit limits now that the Democrats have the ability to further block and reverse our recent tax reforms.

I am re approaching those clients who are on the fence about getting serious about estate planning.   In fact, I plan to forcefully shove them off the fence right into second to die policies.

You know, sometimes I get so tired of people being obstinate and just plain stupid about their future.   Sigh...
