CFPs and hopefuls

This question if for those you have taken the CFP exam or others who know a lot about it.  I have qualifications that allow me to challenge the exam without taking the courses.  Has anyone tried this?  What were the results?  I'm looking to buy a study course to help me pass the exam.  Anyone know any excellent ones?

Dude, get the material and study for the courses. Even if you could
pass the material knowing less than what is expected, is that really
something to be proud of?

Spend the money and take a good comprehensive review course. If you do, you will do fine.

Been there and did it.  I challenged and didn’t think the test was really all that hard to be honest.  I did the first two modules and then got impatient and ordered the review materials from the College of Financial Planning in Denver.  They were a bit substandard, but I’d already paid for them.  A friend lent me a Kier test bank on CD and I found that excellent.  I left the test feeling very good about my chances of passing (I did).  It’s certainly an easier test than the CPA exam.
