CA Insurance Pretest Online?

I heard that for 2007 the state of CA was going to allow the 52 pretest hours of training to be taken online. I’ve yet to confirm this. Anyone at a CA firm able to confirm, deny, or elaborate on this change? Thanks.

I don't think that is possible since there is no real way to regulate someone sitting in front of a computer at home for 52 hours.
I haven't heard anything on this topic and I go through a lot of media about the insurance industry.
