Blackberry or Treo

any of you use either of these pda phones?  thinking about making getting one and not sure which to go with.

I personally use a Treo.  The last 7 months I haven’t been able to get corporate email on the treo because we use Lotus Notes and for PDA email they required a Blackberry, not just a blackberry though, a Verizon Blackberry.  Hogwash I say.

Thankfully, after the recent merger I now use Outlook and can get my email so I’m golden.  I personally prefer the flexibility and functionality of the palm os more than the blackberry os.

I use the treo… just love it,  though cant use corporate email since we on crackberry email.  treo has a nice screen and good enough to use as a regular phone, good battery life too.  your choice of palm or windows.

Any comments on the Phone feature of either? I’ve heard from owners of both that the phone is not easy to hear. They;re advising me to get a blackberry or treo for the email, and a separate phone for voice. Any thoughts?

The phone is perfectly fine in my opinion.  It’s slightly awkward to hold at first due to it being wide.  The sound quality is just like any other phone I’ve ever used.

I normally use a bluetooth headset, which also works perfectly.  It seems like a waste to me to carry a Treo/BB and a phone.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I’ve been told by a friend that a Treo works well and is all you need.  I plan on purchasing mine this summer when my cell contract is over…

anybody familiar with the Motorola Q?

I use a Q thru Sprint. The build quality is excellent, the phone is great,

but it runs on Windows Mobile 5.

The email feature works fine, but it is not instant like Blackberry. It

checks emails on 15,30,60 minute intervals. Rather, I gave preference to

the phone and its features rather than email. I figure if something needs

immediate attention, a phone call is in order.

I really like the voice activated dialing, which is not available on the

Blackjack or Blackberry. I can use the Q as a modem for my laptop, which

is not available on the blackjack.

Forget about reading documents, spreadsheets etc. the size of the screen

is just too small. All of these smartphones are just text msg. with a

keyboard.
