Fee Based

I’ve recently decided to transition to a fee based model… does anyone have an opinion regarding how long after the sale of an A share is appropriate before charging a fee on the account?

i just transitioned from edward jones to an ria. i primarily ran advisory business at edj and am only running advisory business now. at both places, its generally two years before full revenue can be charged

Are you changing investments or just charging a fee on top of what you already got a commission for?
