Lincoln Teams with Orion on Annuities Data Platform

Lincoln Financial and Orion partner on an annuities platform, Seaward Management rebrands and Alex. Brown adds an LA-based team.

Lincoln Financial Group is partnering with Orion Advisor Services on a data platform for advisors who use Lincoln’s suite of variable and fixed annuity solutions, the companies announced. Enhancements to the platform also include comprehensive fee billing and analysis tools. “Income planning solutions have become a significant concern for today’s pre-retirees, and our technology will allow advisors to manage annuities seamlessly,” Orion CEO Eric Clarke said. “The direct data connection we have with Lincoln is a leap beyond the archaic verification tools of the past.”

Seaward Management Rebrands to Prio Wealth

Boston-based Seaward Management announced that it has rebranded to Prio Wealth, focusing on financial life management, and integrating individual values and priorities into clients’ financial plans and portfolios. Derived from the words “priority” and “a-priori,” Prio’s philosophy is to go beyond conventional wealth management, the company said in a statement. As part of the firm’s rebranding, it will incorporate socially responsible investing as part of its investment focus. “In the past 30 years, the wealth management industry has seen tremendous evolution; however, the traditional, formula-based approach to serving clients seems to be stagnant. With the rebrand, we decided to rebuild our value proposition to meet the needs of the people we serve in a more insightful and personalized way,” said CEO John Bratschi.
