Comings & Goings: March 2011

Raymond James has hired Anthony DeLuise as a managing director and head of private placements. DeLuise, who has expertise in structuring and globally distributing securities privately, joins from Credit Suisse Securities, where he served as chairman of the Private Placement Group.

Mark Cahn has been appointed general counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission, replacing David Becker, who stepped down from his position last month. Cahn has served as deputy general counsel for litigation and adjudication since March 2009.

Asset Dedication, a sub-advisory firm, has tapped Scott Emblen to join its Advisor Solutions team. In the new role, he'll lead an effort to serve fee-only financial planners. Most recently, Emblen served as an hourly planner.

Full-service brokerage firm Multi-Financial Securities Corporation has chosen Daniel Maurer to serve as senior vice president of national sales. Maurer will oversee practice management and sales in the new role. Prior to joining Multi-Financial, he worked at Curian Capital, a third-party asset manager.
