Comings and Goings: December 2012

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, an association of fee-only advisors, has announced that its CEO and Executive Director Ellen Turf will step down from her role in August 2013. Turf, 60, said the decision was part of her plan to spend more time with family and travel. NAPFA will conduct a national search to replace her.

Russ Koesterich has been promoted to the newly created position of chief investment strategist of BlackRock, responsible for communicating the firm’s investment strategy and market perspective to investors and financial advisors. Koesterich has served as chief investment strategist for the firm’s iShares business since 2010.

Timothy Fisk has joined wealth management firm Glenmede as vice president and wealth advisor in its Philadephia office. Fisk was recently at Merrill Lynch, serving as vice president and trust specialist in its wealth structuring group. Jeffrey Coron was also recently hired as director of institutional and intermediary distribution of Glenmede Investment Management.Previously, Coron served as senior vice president and head of the client relations group for Advisors Asset Management.
