The package is negotiable and is different with every firm.  I would ask them during your negotiation process to see what is normal for them.

Why not ASK THEM?

I picture the conversation going something like this:   Spoiled996: Do I get a transfer bonus? Wirehouse exec: Yes, 60% upfront and 60% after 15 months. Spoiled996: Sweet.  *Thinks to himself, "I wonder when 'upfront' is.  Hopefully its like next week, and not after a few months of starting.  I better ask someone who knows this kind of info, maybe the boys over at RegRep.  I'll not tell them the company I work for or any type of info that would give them insight, but I'm sure they'll know the answer anyways."* Wirehouse exec: Do you have any other questions? Spoiled996: Nah, I'm good.

Seriously have tears running down my eyes from laughing so hard… good thing i wasn’t drinking anything because it would be all over my screen by now.

I am all for getting advice and input on this site… HOWEVER things like this are just dumb, like 3rdyrp2 said, no idea who you work for, what the deal was, but sure i can tell you you get it when they deposit it…
