Great question frumhere. I'd like to know as well. I've heard a great deal about ML's verticle team structure. For example, producing managers have a junior FA that does almost all the work with opportunity for advancement. They look for producer's with fee based businesses to move into management. Unlike MS, ML actually pays their managers for the time, risk, and work load that comes with management.
