Does anybody know anything about Stifel?  What is their reputation with clients and FAs?  They appear to be a Regional firm so are they, like almost all the others, about to be gobbled up by a wirehouse or bank?

Thanks.

under the radar St Louis Firm (across from the arch) that is regional but large in a quirky sort of way.  Seems to have catered to old money versus their St Louis rival now known as Wachovia lol.  Joe Battapaglia is now the national face of the firm.  I never researched them, my Father in law has lived in STL for 75 years and they are, his words, upper crust firm.  Thats all I know.

Does Stifel Nicholas pay any up front money to producers, especially if three or four come over at the same time as a team?

Depending on your production they can be as high as around 105-110% o T12

An old AGE (Wachovia) manager I know is there now. He's a good guy and had good things  to say about them.
