Anyone know the transition package at stifel? Has it gone down?

SK.

I know a year ago it was about 65% up front but now that they have a big audience and times are tougher I think it is around 35%. Just what I hear. Not confirmed.

I found out today 55% upfront for 500k -600k producer with 15% bonus 2nd through 6th year.  reasonable for regional

My understanding is that its different for each broker. There is a guideline, but it also has to do with quality of assets, AUM, type of business, etc. Great alternative.

I bet most of the branches UBS sold were former Piper Jaffray branches...Piper's culture was probably pretty similar to SF.

So that would make sense to be part of a regional again and not a bank …is this a lesson we all already know ?

Piper was purchased by US Bank, then de-vested back to employees…I believe.  Regardless it was a failed merger.
