So I noticed this new scottrade ad portraying this unscrupulous cowboy fa in a limo. Anyone else bothered by this?
discounters are a joke.
3/4 of their biz is dumba*ses trading $2 crap names.

My thoughts exactly! Does anyone remember the one from etrade or one of those guys where the FA is talking in his office to a client on the phone and then walks out the door of his private yacht? That was funny.
It's all crap, real clients are not running to discounts. If anything they weed out the small guys leaving the better clients for us....
I think it is funny. I have seen quite a few come through our office that they may have used to cast this role. They always turn out to be wanabees that talk a great game and produce little. I do not think any of these ads give advisors a bad name. Bad advisors do a good job of it on thier own!

Yes, those TD adds are such a load of crap. You get this hot chick talking about "heat mapping" which is apparently where the money is moving after looking at a colorful computer screen. What a gimmick! The first prospect that tells me he's using "heat mapping" is going to get my pen through his eye.or the dude from TD …law and order or something? Wanna kill that fool
