This is true: 2 weeks ago I was talking to a Smith Barney rep who used to work AGE then Wachovia. I asked him who was he working for next. His response was that he went to Smith Barney because they were going to stay Smith Barney.   What makes anyone think that there isn't going to be massive broker layoffs ? Everyone who merged has offices down the street fom each other.
