After all the sh!t that has gone on with the majors, I’m considering moving to one of the regionals. They have been very absent from the news and don’t have the association of a bank, which I think is the downfall of the industry right now. Why anyone thought the fox (banks) guarding the henhouse was a great idea is beyond me. Anyway, any thoughts on some of the regionals that would make sense.

Stifel? Janney? Hilliard?

I can only tell you from my experience so far that Stifel is awesome.

Heel, are you in NC?  If so, send me a message so we can talk about another option, if you are interested.  I’m not a recruiter.

What happened or why the move?

I spoke to several JMS BOMs and was told they’re looking for $500M T-12 only.  Not to slight them, but I was surprised, too.  I’m 19mos LOS at MS/SB or SB.

Janney, Montgomery, Scott is the one that is interesting. However, with the free fall with insurance companies, its the one that also concerns me since they are owned by Penn Mutual.

We spoke with JMS, and I really liked them. In the end, we did not go with them due to the fact that we found them late in the game, but seems like a nice place to land.

What would be good examples of other regionals in the NJ/PA/DE area?
