I was one of the many cut from ML on Monday, but have received offers from NWM and Ameriprise. I’d welcome any thoughts on both companies from RR contributors who work at either company, regarding platforms, culture, payout, management, standing in the industry etc… Thanks!

Sorry to hear that.  The culture at NWM is vastly different than what you may be used to.  The want you to sell permanent insurane products and skew the compensation and bonus structure toward those products.

If you’re asking me between NWM and AMP and you’re coming from ML? Given those choices it’s a no brainer to go to AMP.

i would initially say neither if you are coming from a wire atmosphere, but if you HAVE to choose from ONLY those 2, NML is the absolute no brainer of the 2, and I do not think too highly of NML.

If you just need to keep your head above water and maintain cash flow you could sit tight at a discount place until things pick up.
