Just heard through the grapevine the plans for a completely new platform for both MS and SB have been out.  They are going to use the web based MS platform.  This should go over well with the over 60 fa's at SB.

It will be better than the server based system we are on currently at SB.  And "the over 60 FA's at SB", there are a few more of us than just 60...

Was there any doubt about this?  This is always what happens in mergers.  They always say we will use the best of both firms blah blah blah, but then end up using the dominant firm or the buyers technology even if it isn't best.

I heard that there was a Regional meeting telling the management, compliance and operational staff that client fees needed to be raised and salaries needed to be cut in order to pay for the integration of the platform because it is costing more then expected.  From what I understand, they were actually selling it as a positive thing.  All of you are going to make less money, but the technology is going to be FANTASTIC!!  Regional Manager says, "Now go out there and tell all the advisors how great it is to work for MSSB."  "M (clap clap clap) S (clap clap clap) S .... B, MSSB fight fight fight!
