Does anyone know what is required to move from Raymond James W2/employee channel to their independent channel? I presume that it is similar to Wells Fargo Advisors Finet where there are some hoops (reduced payout for a couple years) that need to be jumped through in order to go independent at the BD. Otherwise, most advisors would likely opt to move to the independent channel for the higher payout. A recruiter is making it sound like it is very easy to go from being a RJ employee advisor to the RJ independent channel, but I suspect it's not as easy as he is making it sound.

Thanks.

Hey,

does any one know if the bank advisors at Wells Fargo are offered the same type of succession plan “sunset plan” as the wire house brokers at Wells? I believe the max is up to 160% for wire reps… anyone working at a Wells Branch? Thank you!
