What does someone working on a private wealth management team (Goldman, Credit S, JPM…) in the “investor” role earn?  The position would be working on a team working with the “wealth manager” to do client reviews and execute the firm’s investment strategies.  Sounds like the position is salary + bonus.

Probably not much.

"Investor role? Huh? You might want to clarify what that is. Anyways, WB is right: Not much, maybe less.

most of teams you are speakin of use outside managers and due that dillegence as a whole. Two to three man teams that have a rainmaker. maintenance and investor, which i think you are asking usually make 25-35% of gross or operate where the gross of all three goes under one rep code, for a higher payout and work it back out on the back end.

the “investor” role is a JPM PWM and JPM Private Bank role. they get paid a base of 125-250K and a YE bonus that is discretionary. typically the bonus is cash and stock 75- 25 for VP level and 60-40 for a MD. Goldman Sachs doesnt have investor role just the  PWA role— they are ultra high net worth bokers that work in teams. same for CS but they are called relationship managers.

Thanks, VC.  This job would be on the JPM PWM side not the private banking side.  Would that mean towards the lower end of the 125k-250k base that you quoted?
