Anyone have any details about the Investment Specialist position at Northwestern Mutual. Recruiter called me this morning. Before I agree to talk just thought I would see if anyone might have some insight. Thanks for the help!

When you asked the recruiter what it meant and he refused to answer, what did you say?
Actually I haven't talked to the recruiter yet, she just left me a message to call regarding the position. I didn't really know they had such a thing so I thought I would see if anyone had any insight, before I called her back.
Try Google, it works… unless you are 50+ and can’t use a computer…

The biggest question about that position is can you effectively team up w/ the life reps and have them send you business. No matter what you say, the NW Mutual guys that I have know to the high end work, but they don’t know anything about managing portfolios. They used to own Baird, so they “used” to have a decent platform to do business, but Baird bought themselves back, so who knows what kind of investment platform you have. I’m sure you will get at least a 50% payout and you might actually be 1099 like the life reps. It never hurts to check it out!
Thanks for the help guys. Yeah I had already seen the position details at the website just thought I would see if anyone had any real life experience. Thanks again.
